For the past 30 years, the Ottawa Bagelshop and Deli has been a family-owned business who shares great pride in the quality of their bagels and their connection to the community. With that history, we rebranded the Bagelshop with a modern, family-oriented approach that pays respect to the patriarch who made it a welcoming fixture of the neighbourhood.
Full of colour and spirit, Wellington West is a bustling, exciting and rich neighbourhood and we've created an approach that captures all it has to offer. While promoting the unique shops and amenities it offers all year round, we wanted to show how fun, accessible and colourful it really is!
The Canadian Propane Association connects with and advocates for members of the propane industry. Character Creative has conceptualized the overall vision for Amici’s past three seasons since 2016. Each season consists of five productions, leading to the creation of five posters, each with a unique approach while retaining a sense of unity across the board. In developing the concepts of each production, an illustrative approach positions each season as colourful, vibrant and evocative. Character also develops Amici’s season brochure and provides a refresh of their website each year. The campaign is a great introduction as the performers take the stage.
Universities Canada hosted an event showcasing a series of leading edge Canadian researchers. An event about innovators, needed an innovative approach. For the past 25 years, the Governor General has honoured and celebrated the lifetime artistic achievement of Canada’s outstanding performing artists and arts volunteers. The gala for this black tie event is held at the National Arts Centre full of fanfare and elegance. The Community Foundation of Ottawa was created to enable citizens to enhance the quality of life in their community and to achieve their own charitable objectives through permanent, well-managed endowments. OttawaInsights.ca was developed as an online resource to connect key statistical information and intelligence across a broad range of issues affecting quality of life in Ottawa. Its goal is to promote data driven decision-making in order to achieve sustainable change. The result was a responsive website with intuitive navigation, is level AA compliant for accessibility, available in French and English, and colour coded to each community issue, including each custom data visual.

In honour of the 150th anniversary of Confederation, we worked with the Library of Parliament to create a digital interactive exhibit that features key milestones in Canada's history leading up to present day. The exhibit is located in the Library on a 75-inch display with touchscreen controls for visitors of Parliament to navigate the timeline. In each milestone, subtle animation was integrated into the archive photos to create a more engaging experience. We also created a colourful printed brochure of the timeline educating on the 150th anniversary to youth in schools across Canada.
Future innovators, creators, entrepreneurs and community leaders from Canada’s universities joined thought leaders from across the country in Ottawa to explore what Canada can become in the next 50 years.
